Let's talk books!

Ok, so one of the reasons I wanted to start this blog is so I could chat about books. Once you're reading a book of mine let me know and I'll start a topic about it and we can all comment back and forth until our heart's content.

Here we go....

I had a fantastic month off from classes this summer and I went through a bunch of books...

My Sister's Keeper - I LOVED this one! I thought all sides of the issue were presented really well (I won't ruin it if someone hasn't read it yet). It was fantastic!

Little Earthquakes - Good light summer book, although I didn't connect to the characters as much as some of her other books. Maybe there were too many to get indepth with their stories?

Salem Falls - Really interesting, different storyline, except I thought the Jack character did some pretty stupid things so I wasn't completely sympathetic. I did like the backstory on his life.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nite-time (one of my own books) - This was a murder mystery from the point of view of a teenager with autism. I could definitely imagine some of the kids I work with doing some of the things in this book. Really different and interesting. I recommend it!
